From Mr Little 12 Harcourt St To Chief Comm
About 2 O’Clock today I was in Mr Little’s Public House at the corner of Stephen’s Green and Cuffe St in company of Mr Dowling an official in the congested board when 7 Sinn Feiners having rifles and revolvers rushed in told us clear out and asked for drink. On going out I saw a policeman lying on the footway after being shot dead (near the Presbyterian Church). I went home for dinner and called again to Mr Little’s as above but got no answer. I believe the house is in charge of Sinn Feiners. I and Mr Dowling and shall give you every assistance in our houses.
