Eight persons are detained in Kilmainham Stn by order of military, they include Corrigan, [Wlm], son of Alderman Corrigan, and a Capt. of Volunteers named Irvine of Oxford Rd, Ranelagh. It was rumoured an attempt would be made to rescue them, but there is a party of 40 military guarding the Stn. at present. We are informed that Sergt. Cartwright in uniform and McDermott in plain clothes are held up by Volunteers in Barmak’s, Fumbally Lane.
