To Sir Matthew Nathan April 26th 1916
I have just shown your wire to the Prime Minister and took instructions to General French from him with the following result. The following troops will leave Liverpool tomorrow for Kingstown. 1 Field Artillery Brigade, 1 Infantry Brigade, 1 Field Company RE Division, 1 Squadron and Divisional Headquarters. The remainder of the Division will be concentrated at Liverpool and will be sent off as the situation demands and as transports become available. Kindly inform General Friend of these arrangements. The Prime Minister wishes the wire here to be kept open during the night and I have arranged accordingly.
