“If possible have following message sent to the Inspector General:- In continuation of my cipher message of this morning reliable information just received that Irish Volunteers about 200 strong are in possession of Enniscorthy and that Constabulary Barracks there is being attacked. I am mustering police force which is totally inadequate. Military urgently required. Please say if any is being sent.
