At 5.20pm 26th Inst, Corporal Stanton, no 2622 7th Sherwood Forresters and Corpl J Watson and Pte Richmond same regiment brought to Lad Lane Station Joseph Clarke 30 yrs 6 Harcourt St caretaker there (Sinn Fein Hall). He was seen leaving Northumberland Road Schools by the first named Corporal where Volunteers were concealed firing on the military he had a loaded 6 chamber revolver and 20 rounds of ammunition on him, he had on his possession a mobilised list with the names and addresses of 20 men on it.

At 7.10pm same date Corporal Cross and Pte Cooper of the Sherwood Forresters brought to Lad Lane Station by order of Captain Carlton, Patk Doyle 19 years 96 South Circular Road to be kept in custody there, he was wearing a Volunteers trousers and puttees, he admitted being at Stephens Green with 30 others and having fired shots.
