3.50pm Mr McArdle manager of Williams TCo. Phoned to Asst Comm 7 or 8 of my shops have been looted and several other shops in Camden Street and Wexford Street and they are now coming to my shop in Baggot Street.
4.20pm Supt D reports that the Consts who were on duty in plain clothes with the military at Capel St had returned and stated the military with them knew nothing about the Four Courts and Police Ct having been captured from the enemy. The military were then on the top of houses sniping from Capel Street.
4.45pm Asst Commr asks Supt Murphy whether the recorder that the Rebels had left Jacobs and were enemys down Bride St was true.
4.52pm Supt A phones Asst Commr that he has heard nothing about the Rebels having left Jacobs but that Vaughans public house at New Street Corner was looted.
