“Dispatches were delivered… by women on bicycles relative to Insurrection”

From Insp Lowry to Chief Supt.

At 5.20pm on 25th inst Thomas E Bolton, 30 St Columbus Rd, Drumcondra, Clerk, at [Ferns & Co] Grafton Street came to Mountjoy Station and confidentially informed me that dispatches were delivered on the River at the house 13 St Clements Road, Drumcondra by women on bicycles relative to Insurrection. The house is occupied by a Mrs Kearnes who has three sons fighting at present with the Sinn Feiners against the military, and one at the house who is a Sinn Feiner.

Mr Bolton believes that if the house was searched immediately some documents and arms may be found there military on duty at North Circular Rd informed.
