Bet. 10 & 11pm 27th Inst. while Const. Lyons 72 B. was on duty with Military ticket at the Barricades outside the Fire Brigade Stn G. Brunswick St a woman believed to be named Green who was wearing a Red Cross Badge, approached from College St and when challenged by the Sentry said,- “She was a member of the Red Cross Association and was in a hospital at Capel St: and was then going home to Denzille St”.
The Const. knew her to be attached to the Ambulance Section of the Citizens Army & told the officers on duty, who sent her into the College Park to be detained. There was heavy sniping up to 1 am Inst. since then
