The Sinn Fein Volunteers took possession of the Bridewell Station about 8pm yesterday.

There were 18 policemen there at the time 17 of them were liberated and escorted by volunteers to North Dublin Union the Assistant master at the union allowed them out through a back gate at the union and they arrived at Manor Street Barracks alright.

Constable Hale 199D drew his staff and struck a rebel on the head with it, and was detained a prisoner by the Rebels.
