Twenty rebels came to the Recorders House 64 Fitzwilliam square this morning two of them dismounted off bicycles and came to the door and the remainder were circling around, and endeavoured to break in, he has a powerful dog and he attacked them, the Recorder endeavoured to get out a back door into a lane at rere, and found four rebels there with rifles, two kneeling at each side of the lane the then got over a garden wall into an adjoining house, he wishes to have an escort sent for him as his life is in imminent danger and there are snipers on several houses on the Square.
